Many critics took a certain clowning show now playing in Chicago to task for not being very family-friendly.
So if that's truly a concern ( and if you're looking for an alternative clowning show after the holidays ) , then check out Aga-Boom. Famed for playing New York's New Victory Theatre and other venues across the world, Aga-Boom features plenty of clowns making a mess of things with newspapers, toilet paper and lots more stuff. Centre East presents Aga-Boom at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, 9501 Skokie, Skokie. Performances are 7 p.m. Dec. 26; 1 and 5 p.m. Dec. 27; and 3 p.m. Dec. 28. Tickets are $37; call 847-673-6300 or visit www.northshorecenter.org .
